Systems And Productivity ManagementIntroductionFinancial engineering as a specific field of academic study has only existed since the 1990s in the world. Financial engineering draws on tools from applied mathematics, computer science, statistics and economic theory. Financial engineering is used across a broad range of tasks in the financial world. Some of the areas where it is most commonly applied are the following: ? Corporate Finance ? Arbitrage Trading ? Technology and Algorithmic Finance ? Risk Management and Analytics ? Pricing of Options and other Financial Derivatives ? Behavioral Finance ? Creation of Structured Financial Products and Customized Financial Instruments ? Quantitative Portfolio Management ? Credit Risk and Credit Management The field of financial engineering with the title "Financial Systems" was launched in 2012 in the the Faculty of Industrial and Systems Engineering of Tarbiat Modares University. Since then, its graduates have been working in financial and monetary institutions such as banks and insurance companies, in organizations related to the stock exchange or bourse, and in financial consulting and service institutions. The two-year Program of MSc in financial systems consists of 32 course units, which include 12 compulsory course units, 12 optional course units, and 8 thesis and seminar units. Quality and ProductivityIntroductionThe Quality and Productivity program was established in 2020 as part of the Systems Management and Productivity Department. The purpose of this program is to educate specialists who can provide scientific and practical solutions in the field of quality engineering, contribute to the advancement and expansion of knowledge in quality and productivity, access the latest scientific and research foundations, concepts, systems, and technologies, and strive to develop and disseminate them throughout the country. Additionally, the program aims to create the necessary foundation for the Industrial and Systems Engineering Faculty to be recognized as a specialized center for providing design, implementation, and improvement services in quality and productivity systems. |
